The Spring Brunch 2024, held on Tuesday 24 September at the Grounds of Eveleigh was an outstanding success.
On behalf of Dr Joseph Rizk AM, Maureen Rizk OAM, the team at ABAL Banking, Yvonne Choker, Ramzey Choker, Therese Choker, Caroline Choker and Vince Alafaci and the team at the Grounds and our Major Sponsors Ethan Global, I’m proud to announce that this year’s Spring Brunch raised a remarkable $256,640, for our charities Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (Randwick and Westmead) (SCHF) and the Westmead Institute for Medical Research (WIMR).
From the Brunch we were able to give $157,100 to SCHF and $99,540 to WIMR. As you know if we were able to raise $50,000 on the day for the work of Eddy Kizana and his team the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia would match our $50K with $50K from them so Assoc Professor Eddy Kizana will receive all up $149,540.
This is all thanks to your generosity and these amounts have allowed us to fund another Overnight Parent Stay Room at the Randwick Children’s Hospital currently under redevelopment (now 3 rooms in total over 2023 and 2024) and to fund vital heart research for the work of Associate Professor Eddy Kizana and his team at WIMR
We must also thank our major sponsor of the day Ethan Global headed by Mr Tony Geagea by exceeding our expectations and showing extreme generosity in pledging a further $50,000 on the day to the charities in addition to being our Major Sponsor for the event. A big thank you to Tony and Gaelle and all at Ethan Global.
We’ll take this opportunity to recognise the support of our Fundraising Sponsors: Madison Marcus, Construction Consultants & SDSS and Brown Foreman/Glendronach and our Floral SponsorMelissa DCruz.
All our amazing prize donors who are too many to mention without your generosity we wouldn’t be able to fundraise on the day and reach the amounts we do so a big thank you to you one and all.
Neither the funds raised nor the day itself could have been possible without each and every one of you. Our gratitude to you all simply cannot be articulated in an email, we are humbled and blessed to have such support from the community we serve. Thank you once again.
